The quote from my wonderful grandmother (above) explains it all. Growing up in the "Bible Belt", I had my share of performances in the children's choir and youth choir at church. These church experiences were followed by seven fantastic years of singing with the North Habersham Middle School Choral and the Habersham Singers in high school. I take tremendous pride in having been trained by some of Georgia's best choral teachers including Paula Gibson and the iconic Bobby Ivey. Both have made a major impact on me as a person. Gibson and Ivey taught me not only how to sing and read music, but also how to perform; which has become particularly useful while living in New York City and beginning a new journey with MasterVoices choir, led by Tony-Winning Artistic Director, Ted Sperling.
